The area surrounding the school, an area locally known as Thorpe Bay, sits between the eastern fringes of Southend-on-Sea with the village of Shoeburyness to our west. To the south swells the Thames estuary, an area of stunning beauty and historical significance and to the north lies the countryside of southern Essex. Thorpe Bay is truly blessed as a place to live and raise children, for the list of local amenities and recreational opportunities is unparalleled. The estuary offers superb fishing, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding and kiteboarding, as well as being a site of natural wonder for birdwatchers, where seals and dolphins are often seen by those who use this wonderful playground often. There are many sporting and social clubs locally (see the list and links below) and the area boasts a wonderful parade of high-quality shops and restaurants within its boundaries. Nurseries are plentiful and Southend itself offers far more than you would think possible: the rail links with the capital mean one can work in the City...or visit, to watch a West-End show, with ease. Add to that our newest transport link, the Southend Airport and you can now be in Barcelona within no time at all!
If you are a local club, or amenity and would like your link added to the list below, please contact the school and we will add you as well.
