Topical Issue of the Month...
I've heard of GDPR, but what is it?
GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation.
GDPR aims to strengthen the protection of personal data in light of significant technological changes since the original Data Protection directive in 1995.
Here at BGJS, we are working hard to ensure our on-going compliance across the six data protection principles, which ensure that data within school is:
Processed fairly, lawfully and in a transparent manner. Used for specific, explicit and legitimate purposes. Used in a way that is adequate, relevant and limited. Accurate and kept up to date. Kept no longer than is necessary. Processed in a manner that ensures appropriate security of the personal data.
Each place of business (including schools) has to have a DPO which stands for Data Protection Officer. Our DPO here at BGJS is Mr. Hinds.

If your child is unwell with viral sickness and/or diarrohea the school's policy states that they remain at home 48 hours after the last episode. Thank you.
