One of my highlights of the year has got to be the Annual Creative Dance Festival, which is held at Southend Leisure and Tennis Centre!  This year’s festival definitely lived up to expectation and it was a wonderful day of dance!

The Year 3 and 4 Dance Club performed in the morning and the children were an absolute triumph!  They are a wonderful group of children who always attend Monday morning Dance Club with enthusiasm and positivity.  Their effort and dedication is brilliant and they are a pleasure to work with.  Their performance to “Came Here for Love” by Sigala and Ella Eyre was excellent and I was incredibly proud of them.  Not only were they superb on the dance floor, but their behaviour was impeccable throughout.  They clapped and cheered all of the other performances and thoroughly enjoyed their morning.

In the afternoon, it was the Year 5 children’s turn to take to the floor.  In Year 5 the whole year group come together for their PE lessons in the first half of the Spring term and work on a dance spectacular to perform at the Dance Festival. We have had so much fun working together and creating our dance and it has been lovely to see the whole year group working as one team!  When they took to the dance floor on Friday to perform to “Make My Dreams” by Daryl Hall and John Oates is was truly amazing to see everybody full of energy and beaming with enjoyment!  The lessons definitely paid off and Miss Cook and I were so pleased with the outcome.  They definitely did themselves proud!  Well done Team Year 5!
