Wow! What an amazing start Oak Class have made to their life in the Juniors.

Wow! What an amazing start Oak Class have made to their life in the Juniors. They are wonderful and have already produced excellent work which we have celebrated.  We cannot wait to see what else they produce and what wonderful role models and ambassadors for the school we have.

A huge thank to everyone for the hard work that went in to the Summer homework projects.  We absolutely loved the wide variety of work which came into us.  There were incredible models, presentations, written work and posters to show what the children had learned.  We had a lovely afternoon last week sharing everything.  They were obviously very proud of the work they had produced, which is all displayed beautifully in our classroom.

Probably the highlight of their time with us so far has got to be Stone Age Day!  The children came into school with some sensational costumes on and they most definitely looked the part.  They learned about life in Pre-historic Britain and how we have evolved over millions of years. It was amazing to learn about the different "Ages" from Early Stone through the Bronze Age ending with the Iron Age and the arrival of the Romans.

During the day, the children learned so much through an array of artefacts, role play, images and stories.  They were very knowledgeable and listened superbly when given detailed explanations about what happened to pre-historic man over time.

It was wonderful to see the class so engaged throughout.  Their behaviour was superb and we were very proud of them.  It was also lovely to see so many of you at lunchtime for our Family Picnic.

Please have a look at the Photo Gallery for lots of photographs taken from Stone Age Day.

Well done Oak!  A great start!
