CRACKING CHRISTINGLE FROM THE COTTON BUDS
Spruce Class worked extremely hard on their Christingle Service at St. Augustine’s Church. The children rehearsed their songs and learnt their lines during their school lessons and assemblies.
They learnt the special meaning of Christingle and it's symbolism. The orange representing the World, the red ribbon the love and blood of Christ, the sweets God’s creations and the lit candle Jesus’s light into the World bringing hope.
After an amazing rehearsal on the morning of the event the children were excited and ready to perform in front of the congregation of parents, relatives, siblings and staff.
Father Jonathan commented on the children’s outstanding vocals, readings, incredible singing and their impeccable behaviour on the night.
Thank you to all who helped the class put on such a moving and informative event where the children learnt the true meaning of the Christingle service.
