The first trip of the year was a great success for Oak class. The children had a tour of the shop where they learnt about healthy eating, portion sizes and coding on packaging. Next they went behind the scenes where all the food is stored and learnt about keeping food fresh. This involved a very chilly few minutes standing in an icy, cold freezer, which the children loved! The second part of the trip involved making their own vegetable puff pastry slice. The children demonstrated very good listening skills and their good behaviour was commented on by others, at the end of the session. Hope the results of their efforts made it safely home and that they shared it with others.
