During the week beginning the 6th November 2017, we had our first ever Enterprise Week! The week was an opportunity for the adult members of our community to come in and talk to Spruce class about their professions.
As well as broadening the children’s horizons and their understanding of the world around them, the week also promoted discussion about the opportunities available in the world of work. We had a variety of visitors over the week ranging from a British Airways pilot, a children’s poet and an ex-Arsenal, Watford and Southend goalkeeper. The children were very keen to ask lots of questions.
Pupils also took part in lessons discussing the word ‘Enterprise’ and what makes an ‘Enterprising person’. We looked at local and more famous inspirational people and the children also discussed who inspires them, obviously their teacher!
