FUN, FUN, AND EVEN MORE FUN!
Welcome back! What a busy few weeks it has been. We have had sports day, which the children thoroughly enjoyed – particularly the ice-cream.
Welcome back! What a busy few weeks it has been. We have had sports day, which the children thoroughly enjoyed – particularly the ice-cream. Alongside this, we have just celebrated Maths and Science week where the children did a range of activities to display their knowledge they have learnt and learn new skills. One activity the children all enjoyed was when the Puzzle Company visited. They gave the children a variety of maths puzzles to solve; Pine class used their determination, resilience and problem solving skills to complete the activities in record time! We have also had a couple of visits from the Year 2s to give them a taster of what life is like in the Junior School ready for next year. Pine class demonstrated just how kind, considerate they are and immediately put the Year 2s at ease. The children have also been working incredibly hard on their ‘Frame It’ stories and frames, which are now complete and ready to be displayed for Open Evening. The frames themselves were decorated during MAGs day; it was wonderful to see so many parents there. I know this is a memory the children will cherish forever! Finally, not including all our regular lessons and any sporting competitions the children were taking part in, we visited the Broadway in Thorpe Bay to complete a survey for our Geography unit on the local area. Wow and the fun doesn’t end there – only a few more weeks to go and there is still lots more exciting activities for the children to complete!
