Hello and welcome to Oak class blog. Firstly, I would like to say thank you to all the children of Oak class, as they have made me feel very welcome at a time when they may feel quite unsettled. Furthermore, I'd like to say to the parents and carers that the children have been delightful to teach over the last few days and are an absolute credit to you. Lastly I would like to thank those parents I have already had the pleasure of meeting, for being so warm and friendly towards me as the 'new boy'!

It's been an interesting first two week; non-pupil day on my first Monday then disrupted by the weather during the second week. Without knowing the extent of the snow that would arrive, our English topics during the first three weeks have included poetry with the themes of snowflakes and then story writing writing using Michael Morpurgo's The Rainbow Bear, a polar bear, as stimulus.

Thanks, Mr Hinds.
