At Bournes Green, we appreciate that music is one of the highest forms of creativity. Our aim is to deliver a high-quality music education which engages and inspires pupils to develop a love of music and their talent as musicians. We aim to increase their confidence, creativity and sense of achievement. As they move through the school, the children will develop their musical creativity through practical and exploratory opportunities to develop as performers, composers and improvisers. The children will also develop an increasing understanding of the history of music, learning about music across a range of historical periods, genres, styles and traditions, including the works of great composers.
