JUST KEEP RUNNING! ESSEX CROSS COUNTRY FINALS

Well done to all our children that qualified for this gynormous event, representing Southend in the Essex Cross Country Finals at Hadleigh Park.

The event is so big it covered two whole days!

Day One - Team Events.

We had won the opportunity to represent Southend in the Essex Finals. We sported a Year 4 Girls, Year 5 Boys and a Year 6 Boys team. All the children ran their little hearts out with some superb individual performances. Our best place on the day was the Year 6 Boys who came 4th overall.

Day Two - Individual Events.

Another day with plenty of Bournes Green children representing; Southend, BG and themselves! Katie and George from year 3. Nonzo, Megan, Ruby and Chloe from year 4. Rueben and Brock; year 5. Oliver from year 6.

An extra special performance by Nonzo saw him lead the pack most of the way, just being pipped at the post. Certainly one to watch for the future, well done!

Its not an easy task to run such long distances, up hill, down hill and on various terrains. Especially in the pounding heat from the sun, on these particular days. When you consider the amount of children in Education in Essex to be over 2,000 your final places were all phenominal! Im tired just writing about it! ;)
