BOROUGH SPORTS

Bournes Green attended the annual Borough Sports at Garons Leisure and Tennis Centre. The event is attended by so many schools there are 4 heats spanning 2 days!

We are so proud of every squad member and we achieved some fantastic individual placings. Our overall team result was not what we had hoped for and we are looking forward to putting things right both on the track and in the field next year...

Year 3, 70m Sprint - Nonso won his group!

Year 4, Standing Jump - Zac not only won but set a new borough record of 2.21m!

Year 4, Girls Relay - Izzy, Shami, Hazel and Tilly won their group!

Year 5, 80m Sprint - Ifeoma winner of her group!

Year 6, Ball Throw - Halle was the group winner!

Year 6, Shot - Matthew wins the group and only 9cm off the borough record!

All of these children will be invited to the Super Sports event - Track events on 4th July and Field events on the 5th July. Both running 4 til 6pm at Garons Leisure and Tennis Centre.
