SCIENCE - MAKING A MECHANICAL HAND!
We have now started a new topic about the Human Skeleton.
We have now started a new topic about the Human Skeleton. So far we have looked at the different bones and the functions of the human skeleton, as well as other types of skeleton, e.g. exoskeleton that some animals may have. On Tuesday we investigated how muscles work in pairs and how joints help us to move our muscles. To really bring this to life, the children have started to create a mechanical hand using a cut out piece of card of their hand shape, straws, string and sellotape. This allows the children to see how the different bones and joints in our hand move.
