LONDON AND THE LION KING!

Year 5 were very lucky this week and a had a fantastic day out in London. First, we arrived at the Royal Observatory where we had a little talk about Greenwich Mean Time and the line dividing the East and the West. We had a pleasant stroll down the National Maritime Museum ready for an hour exploring all the cool artifacts and history. The kids really enjoyed it and were very well behaved. After this, we were incredibly lucky; we got to ride an open top boat along the Thames. The views were exceptional and the commentary was humorous and engaging. We were on the boat for over and hour too! Then it was time for the show! Wow! it was brilliant. The kids were excellent and thoroughly enjoyed all of the action, music and costumes! A true masterpiece. We were even lucky enough to get to meet a couple of members of the cast. The people who played Scar and Sarabi (Simba's mum). They answered our questions and spoke about their super cool jobs. We were the only people left in the theatre so it really was a VIP experience! Thank you to all the kind of offers of help and to those who came. It was a very successful day and a real pleasure to spend with the chlldren.
