After much hard work and preparation the whole of Year 4 wowed the audience with their amazing production of Shakespeare Rocks. This term our history focus has been The Tudors and our current English focus is the works of William Shakespeare so what better way to celebrate our learning than through a musical extravaganza. The children have developed so much since we started reading the script in January and they have taken on board much advice and direction from the show’s producers Mr Cotton, Mrs Frampton and Miss Johnson. It has been wonderful to see the two classes work so closely together on this production and also discover some hidden acting and singing stars.
As well as thanking the children and our producers thanks must also go to Mr Cunningham for the sound and lights – he is a whizz and even managed to stay calm when the technology froze. To all our wonderful teaching assistants for making the props, helping with costumes and make up. It really has been a great team effort and I am sure it will remain a highlight of their time in Year 4 for all the children involved.
