On the week beginning 6th November, we were very lucky to have various visitors in to talk to us about their jobs. The week started off with Mr Dolphin giving a talk about his job as a plumber and demonstrating (using a toilet!) how a toilet works. We all found this extremely fascinating, and the children were keen to ask lots of questions. On Tuesday, I felt extremely proud to welcome Captain Johnson into the school (my dad), who lead a whole school assembly; speaking about how he became an airline Captain, answering many questions and showing a clip of one of his landings in Gibraltar. As the week went on, the children had a talk from a poet John Preston, ex goal keeper for Arsenal Peter Goy, and to end an amazing enterprise week, a talk from Rijja’s, a dentist who prepared a fantastic PowerPoint about dentistry and kindly gave out a sample toothpaste.
